If serotonin overdose occurred to you, you are most likely to experience the following conditions: mood swings, rapid heartbeat, high body temperature, bad coordination of movements, convulsions, upset stomach, or retching. In order to avoid a serious adverse reaction, do not mix there medicines together. Monoamine oxidase inhibitors may also lead to severe adverse response when taken with Imitrex. If you take Meridia for weight loss or any other prescription pain relievers and drugs, talk to your doctor before using Imitrex. Imitrex is usually not prescribed to people with the following health problems: kidney and liver patients; people suffering from convulsions; people who have a heart disease or whose ancestors had a heart disease; and people with diabetes. If you are an expecting or nursing mother, do not take this medicine unless you have talked to your doctor about it. If you are a heavy smoker or drink large amounts of alcohol and beverages, talk to your physician to find out about the save methods of using this medicine. Ask if it is right for you. Do not take Imitrex if you are a woman in the postmenopausal period without consulting your health specialist first. If you use Imitrex every day and you missed one dose, give yourself a shot as soon as you remember. Imitrex cannot be injected for several different kinds of headaches and migraines. Imitrex is relatively safe, however expecting and nursing women should consult their health specialist or prenatal care services before taking the drug since the effect of the drug on growth and development of the fetus or the newly born baby is still unknown.
