Suggested Use: Valtrex can cure such infectious skin diseases as fever blisters, herpes zoster on the face, and herpes in the genital region. Take the medication with some water. Since the viruses of herpes and fever blisters can spread very fast, quick use is fundamental to successful treatment. When the treatment starts affecting the virus and you notice that the symptoms of the infection are almost gone, do now stop using this medication because you are still in danger until the virus is completely gone. Use the medication at the same time on a daily basis in order not to skip your dose. When taking Valtrex on a regular basis to treat viral infections, try not to miss a dose. If you miss one dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is already time to take another dose of this medication, do not take two doses at the same time. Take one dose and continue taking it as prescribed by your physician. Warnings: Tell your physician about all the pharmaceutical products, food additives, vitamins, and herbal substances that you take if you plan to start a Valtrex treatment. Do not use Valtrex if you may have an adverse response to this medication or any of its components. Do not use Valtrex if you are an expecting or a nursing mother before you talk to your physician or consult specialists from a prenatal care center. Talk to your health-care specialists about any kidney, liver or bone marrow conditions that you had in the past or have now. Special treatment and procedures can be prescribed to you if you are an HIV or AIDS patient. Talk to your primary care doctor before taking this medication. Report to your health specialist about any symptoms that may be related to the use of this medicine. Every therapy requires the patient to be responsible and cautious. Do not take Valtrex with alcoholic beverages if you want to prevent any adverse response. If you did take Valtrex with other medication or alcohol, driving a car or doing other dangerous tasks should be avoided. If you have genital herpes you should be careful with your sexual partner and use safe means if contraception during a sexual intercourse to prevent viral infection from spreading to another person. An elderly body is more responsive to the influence of any medication. In some cases it may serve as a disadvantage, as they can become sleepier or have other complications while taking Valtrex. Therefore, old people should follow doctor???‚?„?s prescription for drug use even more carefully. Do not let your child use this medication before pubescence, as its effects on children have not been fully studied yet. Unwanted Adverse Reaction: A drug safety is the primary concern of many patients. Valtrex is relatively safe in most patients if it is used right. Talk to your medical specialist if you develop any of the following side effects: upset stomach; giddiness; headache; feeling nauseous and sick; or retching. Some of the dangerous side effects may include: dark urine; mood swings, aggressiveness or high irritability; pale skin color; bad coordination of movements; sharing, shivering or convulsions; high body temperature; lack of energy and tiredness; yellow skin. If even a small amount of the medicine triggers an allergic response in you, you are most likely to experience skin eruption; labored respiration; swelling of body parts; or unpleasant sensations in the chest. Discontinue using Valtrex and contact your doctor immediately. Overdose: The severity of possible adverse responses increases as the dose increases. Therefore, you should never overdose with Valtrex because it will not lead to faster results but may result in dangerous conditions for your body. Mixing with Other Drugs and Foods: Some drugs can interact with each other. However, Valtrex???‚?„?s influence on other drugs has not been sufficiently studied yet.
